"If you want to be creative, stay in part a child, with the creativity and invention that characterizes children before they are deformed by adult society." ~Jean Piaget "There are children playing in the streets who could solve some of my top problems in physics, because they have modes of sensory perception that I lost long ago." ~J. Robert Oppenheimer So in another post here in INFP I got into a discussion with Kenneth Udut relating to our inner child...so not wanting to derail that topic any further, I wanted to start a new topic on that to hear other peoples thoughts relating to it. So to start off, what are your thoughts on the inner child? In other words/things to talk about: Are you still a child at heart? What characteristics do you have or things do you do that may be considered "childish" or "childlike" according to your cultures' standards? What are you views on the emphasis society puts on becoming an "adult"? Do you think that certain personality types may be more prone to child-like behavior? I'd love to hear others thoughts on this if they have any! Sorry for the long post.
