[1]nerd-you-were-right I took a moment to pause and reflect.* Where do I fit in the political spectrum? I've been tested and showed up as "social anarchist" but I've always said, "I hate politics". Yet I tried it once - working OUTSIDE the political system to make change. Change happened all around me - exactly the parts of the changes I had hoped for and in the arena I worked within but it was even greater than I had expected. As a teenager, I fought for youth rights. I was a teenager and fought on the early 'net to help fellow kids/teens get more freedom of expression, freedom of thought, freedom to connect. Several political groups formed and splintered off from my youth rights group (I wasn't into politics then either), along with some unschooling groups *- all of whom still exist today, even though I haven't been a part of them.* I even worked with UNICEF... as a teenager. *Got several thousand people together all in one "place", all from my college dorm. But only recently I realized that it was the very arena I was working in - the Internet - expanding - to include *all people*; resulting in a wiping out of the age barriers I saw back then - that resulted in the freedoms I dreamed of for all future people. So, megalomaniac or simply a bit of absurdism on my part, I placed myself as part of a continuity of historical development that started before me and will continue after I'm dead. Very satisfying and because these are facts, how _grand_ the story's importance is, is just a matter of the level of belief. I don't believe anybody is a number and I feel privileged to have left a snail's trail in history... and since it's my story, I can tell it as grand as I like. Won't matter when I'm dead. Doesn't even matter now. But it's fun, so I did this ridiculous graphic. It doesn't matter how old you are or where you live or what people say about you.* *You Are Important*. "Nerd?"
