Up through 1984 if I remember right, "she asked for it because of how she dressed" *was a valid excuse for rape*, court approved and all. 1984. That's only 31 years ago. I believe that's when it changed and I don't remember how... I just remember the year. Some court case changed the precedent and removed it as a valid excuse, although it's still used as a supporting argument, just not the main argument anymore. The thing is: RAPISTS RAPE. The danger of dressing provocatively isn't because "men think with their dicks"... it's because there's a statistical likelihood that out of the number of men at a large party, or bar, one of them might be a rapist. Thankfully the "men think with their dicks" idea is _mostly_ passe.. it went right along with the "she asked for it (because men think with their dicks)". Once one concept began to get dismantled, the other concept started to get dismantled with it, although neither one is completely gone yet.
