http://sourceforge.net/projects/dia-installer/ what's awesome about it - and I've looked for a program JUST LIKE THIS since I _started_ working with PCs - 1988.. my computer before that hooked up to my TV .. .shit.. but yeah... it's PERFECT. Oh yeah - what's awesome is: You click on a box. It sticks a box there. You type in the box. You click on a box. It makes anoher box. You type in that box. Then you draw an arrow from one box to the other. I'm still working on my 'thought organizing' project. I got the "present moment" figured out. Approx 6-8 seconds long, with a 1-2 second overlap on either side of it. I spent 6 months writing down every thought I had on index cards to see if I could and... timed my forgetting. Got thousands of cards yet to scan in (I gave up scanning after 500 or so) - so then I decided the LEAST I could do is grab all my thoughts together in one place. http://icopiedyou.com/ - I have a lot to go through. Right now I'm finding old posts online mostly and putting stuff in from notebooks and things, typewritten papers and stuff. I've been finding some awesome patterns but a long long way to go. Categorization is my nemesis... and self-categorization is even harder. But I figured, if I look at EVERYTHING, the patterns will naturally emerge and I'll make sense to myself. So far, it's working... and the bonus is, I've been able to find _some things_ I could use to help other people with *their* cognitive difficulties in the process. It's fun. The hardest part has been finding out JUST HOW MUCH of what I thought was "me", came from someone else and I was just repeating it, paraphrasing it. I was like.. fuck.. that's not _me_?! that's someone else!?! ok... where's me? and I've been finding him.
