@estelle Brightwell oh it's not scary here. We just report on the 0.00000000001% of dramatic stuff. Everything in US media is portrayed like a movie. Reality tends to be duller than this most of the time. Things DO happen but we repeat the telling of the SAME EVENT over and over until it feels as if it's always happening. We like drama. But if you add the spaces of time between the events and multiply it by the number of ppl these things ARENT happening to in the USA... These things ALMOST statistically speaking didn't happen at all. They did though. That's what makes it news and not an everyday unreportable thing like "he brushed his teeth today".
