I also tend to take "is like" with great seriousness. A few words may have the intent of a quick comparison, but the impact can be profound when applied accurately. I know I don't have the capabilities of Michel Godrey yet I'm ok with that. To think that someone sees even a piece of me in him and him in me is an excellent validation for what sometimes feels like a time-waster. He didn't waste his time making those films. I didn't waste my time making mine. Of course I'm reading too much into it. That's what I do I love analogies. 18 months ago, I found a marvelous chart showing analogous functions between hydraulic, electrical, oh I'll just show it. I knew the differences, but never saw all analogous variables in one place like this. Well, I've seen it before, but didn't really GET how significant it is until that moment. It launched months of further research in my spare time. Like analogies, there are always differences of course - some significant. I'm not Michel Godrey. Mass is not a Pipe. Yet somewhat is. Anyway, I overstate what I say a lot but brain-dumps are very satisfying. Nothing is left unsaid that I could say at that moment and transmitting "feels" can sometimes take but a few words and sometimes many. I like leaving little to misunderstanding (Misunderstanding is a powerful force in the Universe - it should be on this chart. Crosstalk of electrical circuits where there is improper shielding?) - so I choose the "more words".
