If there is anybody who could take something like the Bible and turn it into a programming language, its you. It would deconextualize it entirely turning it into an entirely symbolic document.* It'd probably make you a multi-millionaire at that.* Or at least a mention in a blog or two. Think of the audiences - the vast quantities of peoples who would buy it, each group for different reasons. I tried doing it once.* I got through Genesis.* I used Microsoft BASIC on my 16K Color Computer.** Everything became variables, its original source names obscured, and the who did what to whom and why somehow made more sense that way.* But I ran out of memory.* Tried saving it to tape.* Had a power out.* A bunch of hours of a boring summer middle school day home didn't feel wasted. I was a church goer at the time and when I went to church, you should've seen me smile.* I was all like, "Hah, I unlocked a code you guys can't BEGIN to realize" but didn't say anything because I also knew I was being ridiculously full of myself and probably wrong.* Still, I had that, "I knowz something at a higher level than u - even u up there Pastor".* I was cocky with my little computer experiment.* But it did imbue what they were saying with new meanings for me. Now I'm curious if someone has done it. Nope. Looks like nobody did it yet. Or my search parameters for a 2 minute Google peek weren't precise enough. Whatever.* Too lazy to try again* Then again.. a search/replace of key words/phrases might be all it needs - after all, there's been thousands of years of research ALREADY done chopping it up into pieces, so analogizing each of the bits to equivalent code is a simple search/replace table.* Meh, I need coffee. Nope. Looks like nobody did it yet. Or my search parameters for a 2 minute Google peek weren't precise enough. If we do the Bible, we'd also have to do the Sutras and Tibetan Book of the Dead... then cross reference them to major scientific texts, decontexualizing those equally into code... along with Lord of the Rings and all fictional texts, lining them all up perfectly, and declaring all of human knowledge to be entirely identical and for people to get over their hangup on "words" meaning something.
