You have a right to stand up for yourself. Bitch pride is the
   standard in American female culture, Asshole pride is the
   standard in American male culture. Both are generally acceptable
   expressions of self-esteem. If a guy wants to get away with
   being smarmy, he said, "Yeah, I'm an asshole. Deal with it." If
   a woman wants to get away with being smarmy, she says, "Yeah,
   I'm a bitch. Deal with it." Same idea. It works. I don't have a
   problem with it if it helps you feel empowered. Of course, the
   awesome thing about it is, nobody needs my permission I just
   give my opinion..

   Anyway, hope it works out I tried the "yeah I'm an asshole" rule
   for a bit in college. It's pretty powerful but it didn't suit
   me. Still, the girlfriend I had at the time cleaned up after me,
   listened to me when I talked.. but some of the things that came
   out of my mouth.. just weren't me. Some people have a greater
   success rate and bitch pride has the support of the entire Bravo
   TV network, so you're in good company
