A self-supporting, closed system is a complete Universe unto itself but its foundations require only itself and need not have a basis in reality. It is disconnected from reality. Any analogy of reality to that self-supporting.closed system will ONLY apply to such things that can be analogized to aspects of that system. Those things that do not fit within the closed system, do not exist because there is no room for it in that system. That does not necessarily mean they do not exist, only that they cannot exist within that particular system. When you are 4 years old, you are a complete person. You know everything you know. When you are 80 years old, you are a complete person. You know everything you know. But you do not know everything at 4 years old that you know at 80 years old, even though you are both complete systems unto yourselves. The union of map and territory is a tricky one.
