   worldly things about writing a book.

   Social aspects. Material aspects. Marketing aspects.

   I want you to notice something:

   You're a writer.

   You are writing right now. This is your book. You have an active
   readership of two, me and [1]Jim Williamson are reading your
   book right now. Every time you hit "Send", you've just Published
   another line in your book.

   You're already a published author. It's just not a money making
   enterprise and it's not collected between two pieces of
   cardboard on paper, sitting in a bookstore somewhere.
