I'm 43. Internet nerd since '88. 27 years online. Narrowly
   avoided Neckbeard my whole life so far, even though I have a
   beard on my neck. Got over my conspiracy-theoriness between
   1983-1984, obsessed with "Chariots of the Gods" and ancient
   aliens, Nostrodamus, and The Illuminati. 1984. I was 12 years
   old.
   X-files came around in the 90s. Couldn't believe people were
   buying it left and right. But they did. I didn't watch the show
   for years because it was the same shit I read about 10 years
   BEFORE. Now. 2015. Generation Z mocks conspiracy theorists of
   their PARENTS generation quite freely while playing Super Smash
   Bros Brawl in their 420noscoped smokeweedeveryday
   jetfueldoesntmeltsteelbeams language. And I think it's freakin'
   AWESOME. Best Generation since... well, it was better than
   mine.. and GenY - GenY were too serious. They believed X-Files
   was fact. They still do.
