Sure I can. With my eyes closed, I'm about four inches back and an inch down behind my eyes from my best determinations. Now if I was born and was not coddled properly, I might know have had a social mirror with which to be able to see myself, that's true. But it's hypothetical; babies treated in that way, died. It's incompatible with life to not have initial social interaction. But once we're beyond the age of 4 or so, better if longer, we can easily close our eyes and know ourselves; because we have more than enough "other selves" to compare our "selves" with. And when you're an adult? You could have your head in a jar and do fine without much additional inputs, unless you lost your memory. Then you'd be screwed.
