It's hard to avoid being composite beings - such is how it is -
   but that composite can be entirely unique. Can't help people
   stereotyping and expecting us to stay in roles that they know us
   in; takes too much brain-power to absorb the universe in its
   full uniqueness. We need patterns.

   But it's definitely worth the effort.
