While I am very far away geographically, I wanted to express my
   appreciation for Stephen Garvey on a personal level. In 2001, I
   participated in a "Challenge the Philosophy" Contest that
   Stephen was running and that, indeed, challenged my thinking
   about a very difficult human issue. I appreciated the challenge
   and having just come across it a few minutes ago, wanted to see
   what Stephen Garvey has been doing since he issued that
   competition and I am pleased to see not only a number of books
   but also, well, _this_. Very impressive indeed. I wish you the
