I've hesitated switching to Linux for decades now. *I was a fan of Minix in the early Linux vs Minix debates on Usenet (who remembers Minix? *I do!) I always stuck with Windows because I have to informally support a LOT OF PEOPLE who are just regular computer users using Windows... and so I have to stay close to their problems by having them myself and solving them :P But if I had the luxury of expressing my inner nerd-dom, I'd be running awk instead of batch files, emacs instead of Notepad... I'd be having a blast. *Also, the collection of Windows-based tools I've collected through the years, I'd have to do-over in Linux, which to me, is reinventing the wheel. *To me, a computer's a computer's a computer. I make it do what I want. If my next computer comes with Win10, I use Win10. *If it comes with Linux, I use Linux, etc. *But for now, I'll stick with Win7. *Came with this one. *Win2K came with the one before that. *95, the one before that. *I use computers until they croak. *They're silicon dust when I'm done with them. You should see the keyboards.
