I think as long the link to ... well.. to "this" - whatever
   "this" is... doesn't get accidentally cut, analogies are
   wonderful tools for improving understanding.

   I love analogies - I'm always seeking new ones - finding ones
   that seem to work well. I don't really think there *is* a basis
   for reality that _isn't_ an analogy of some kind and I don't
   mean just words. How babies learn; analogies. The depth of it
   goes straight to the core of intelligence, I believe.
