To me, means effectiveness of proofs depends on what the prover
   is trying to prove. But, I'm a metaphor-man. Can't not see them
   everywhere. Proof is a geometry term anyway. How it ended up in
   other fields was likely to strengthen the sense of truth-ness,
   by turning it into angle-side-angle stuff.
