Reminds me of some post-apocalyptic movies I saw in the 80s.
   Did you know that all
   post-apocalyptic/humanity-will-destroy-itself ideas are
   Christian in origin? Revelations. Even if the story is modified
   to change the nature of what causes humanities destruction, it's
   still the same tale. I don't think there were any apocalyptic
   mythologies in non-Western countries until the two bombs hit
   Japan.

   Then they had their own brand of apocalyptic mythologies and
   also futurist predictions... the main difference being this:
   They actually experienced it.
