Ah there it is.* I remember telling somebody about accidentally finding a pattern while playing around with making spirals in Excel... and getting ALL EXCITED because I thought I discovered something new (I noticed a pattern where prime numbers seemed to "chunk together" along diagonal lines) Then... I found out this guy did it 50 years before me :-| Still though, it was pretty cool.* GS * was it you I was talking about it with?* Couple of months ago?* I don't remember now. Anyway, that's when I realized I could so easily get sucked into the [1]#mathematics world.* Always a new pattern to discover.* Always finding out somebody else found out long before me.* Plus, I can't read mathematical formulas.* I mean, I can read them if they're written in programming languages or Excel... but I never got used to the weird way math is written.* I'm an ASCII guy.* If it fits in ASCII, I can read it, but as soon as you get weird symbols and crap, then I'm like NO GIVE ME WORDS PLEASE. Oh well. Anyway, after getting all excited then getting a little let down ('cause it wasn't new) I gave up on chasing mathematics for answers.* Somebody else can go through all that stuff and find new discoveries.* Not me.* I have a zillion other projects to attend to. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stanislaw_Ulam References Visible links 1. https://plus.google.com/s/%23mathematics
