I mocked my own desire to "save the world" by making myself
   President of Earth a few months back. I did it because I
   suddenly realized, "wait a minute, WHO AM I to think I
   can/should 'save the world'? What if I could? What if I was in
   charge? Would things REALLY improve?

   Likely, they wouldn't because I only know what I know and what I
   don't know I don't know.

   Yet, like many, I believe my own way of seeing things is "the
   way to see things". So, I have to keep myself in check without
   losing my opinion by trying to remind myself, 'this is your
   opinion Ken - and you know what you know, but you don't know
   what you don't know, so don't get too cocky, and listen"
