I... so.. want... a 3D printer... drooling since the first articles came out. Back in dot matrix days I drew up plans for a 3D printer. The idea was, the dots would use a much thicker ink and the platen would back up as it passed over the same spot over and over again in increments the size of the dot. Waited a long time for someone to actually make something - didn't expect them to use an X-Y PLOTTER for the base design but it makes sense over a roller. Just too lazy to build, too cheap to buy.
