   Brilliant marketing. Disney has always been a very strong
   supporter of subversive programming. Their movies and TV shows
   throughout their history are full of them, generation after
   generation. I give them credit - truly an amazing feat. Gravity
   Falls is top-notch stuff, especially the shockingly realistic,
   nightmare producing images they produce on occasion that get
   burned in the skulls of millions. Scar someone for life and
   they'll never leave your side. Brilliant marketing. It's an
   intelligent show though, and that's what I like about it. It
   doesn't say, "HEY YOU'RE STUPID - WATCH THIS CRAP" - it's
   actually good. Amazing World of Gumball, Adventure Time before
   it among a few others, fall into this category as well.
