Agreed. I wear prescription glasses which are my substitute for safety goggles. I used to try safety glasses/goggles but the steam made it impossible to work.* In the end, I bought these little "side pieces" that slide up the temples and give me side protection. Since I get my prescription glasses from Zenni Optical and they're $20/30 instead of $300-500, it's close enough and yet BECAUSE they're not $2 safety glasses, I'm still super-careful. Win win win. Still, it's a romanticized ideal of the get 'er done attitude and if it inspired _somebody_ out there, it's a good thing*smile emoticon*- as long as they're not grinding random steel in a vise. But look at those sparks tho' - they look amazing.
