It's true; and spelling itself is weird in English. People
   routinely laugh at 4-5 year olds pronouncing things "wrong". But
   really, they're FOLLOWING the rules of English. They've learned
   ALL the grammar by the age of 4 years old.

   They just haven't learned the weird exceptions yet!

   If they fixed English (and some ppl have tried in the past),
   spelling would be consistent like it is in many other languages.
   But then... there'd be no spelling bees.
