People go ga-ga over the brain and all it can do. I'm glad to have one honestly. But, dissatisfied over common analogies to the brain; telephone switchboard, Internet, computers, electricity, physics, I tried to find something more accurate. Then, when I discovered Cerebrospinal fluid and how it functions. There. That works better for me. Engine parts washer. It's funny because I went into the TOTAL OPPOSITE direction of what I normally do. I usually get all abstract. But to get very solid, functioning metaphor, I went into a direction I knew nothing about: cars, engines, etc. I realized I always talked thought engines, brain "running" (analogizing to an engine running) - slow, fast, etc. But I wondered just HOW LITERALLY I could take that analogy. Turns out, a lot closer to reality than I would've ever thought possible. [1]t Yeah; it's extremely unsettling. I made the animated .gif above just a few minutes ago. I searched for a video that showed an engine parts cleaner vibrating, with the cleaning fluids recirculating... and wanted something kinda pretty. But then in the middle of one video, I found THIS: the oil-water separation feature. The bubbling, primitive goo was _very_ striking and almost painful to look at. I knew then it was perfect.[2]NPH_MRI_272_GILD [3]giphy References Visible links 1. https://www.facebook.com/oliver.springett.5?hc_location=ufi 2. http://icopiedyou.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/NPH_MRI_272_GILD.gif 3. http://icopiedyou.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/giphy.gif
