Well, the way to make friends is "go where the people are".
   Where do people go?
   Bars?
   Churches?
   Sports?
   Museums?
   Libraries?
   Walking around like Sims in the street?

   In school, it's easy. All the people are THERE, all in one box.

   Harder as adult at first. For years, I complained, "Why can't I
   just say "Wanna be my friend?" like I did when I was 6-7 years
   old.

   Anyway, I just about always had online. Online is always realer
   than real life for me. I've never been ashamed of it, although I
   *thought* maybe there was "some secret" 'other people' knew
   about that I didn't about making friends irl.

   But really, there's not. Go where the people are. My people are
   online. No regrets tongue emoticon
