<< Are you looking for an excuse to not use and rely on critical thought>> Oh hell no. I rely on critical thinking generally speaking. However, it's not everything. Critical thinking that starts off on a bad foot can end up on a bad food. Continual Scientific Checking/rechecking is required on all cognitive systems against what apparent evidence there is. But I'm a systems thinker. Critical thinking is a system among other systems, good for what it's good for. It's a tool in a large toolbox and I couldn't imagine not having it available at all times. << Do be aware that your experience, and perhaps your lack of discipline, only tells us about you. It does't generalize to all humans.>> Absolutely. That is why I stick so heavily to "subjective". I only CAN speak for myself and _hope_ perhaps it might apply to others. That is one of my core things right there. Now to the can of worms: <> You're correct. I was overgeneralizing about "subjective". Some truths are objectively quantifiable. Some things don't succumb to numbers quite so well. Many things take well to measurement, some things at present do not.
