I was lucky. I was never taught a fearful God - I was raised
   Methodist - and even in my time in the Eastern Orthodox Church
   [among others inbetween], it never came up like that.

   So now that I'm agnostic, I still don't comprehend the fearful
   God thing.

   I mean, I've HEARD about that version of God. But I was never
   taught it, so it's weird to me.
