Well, simply getting away from our atmosphere will be a help.
   Light pollution especially. The moon isn't close enough - the
   Earth is still too big from the Moon.

   But Mars could work, although come to think of it, I don't know
   how reflective Mars is of the sun, so perhaps it won't be much
   better.
