Ok. tip of the hat to Ray Kurzweil - while I _still_ am
   skeptical of Singularity, nevertheless, as I've traveled down
   the road of gaining a tangible sense of the scope of
   miniaturization in being able to now mentally visualize the true
   smallness of the circuitry (from relay to electrons/electron
   holes) - something I always took for granted growing up with the
   stuff...

   ...I can definitely understand, comparing the size of neurons,
   the role of opto isolators allowing for isolated circuits to
   function without interference using photons... HOW he can see
   the possibility.

   I still don't agree but then again, I'm not in a position to try
   to make-it-happen as he is in... and honestly, I hope I'm proven
   wrong :)
