^Middle-of-the-night oddness: Wode up at 3:30am. Went to back
   porch to get on laptop. Saw and heard a black cat on the porch
   making weird sounds and repeatedly slamming its body against the
   door, while Princess (house cat) looked on. "reeyowwww" "thud"
   "reeyowww" "thud". Gave me heebie-jeebies. Walked around the
   house to let the cat out from the outside, but he was gone when
   I got there. Spooky.^
