Redirecting away from Christian context for variety, I can
   definitely see that for Karma. I know a lot of ppl who are
   Christian, New Age and even some technically atheist alike who
   believe in a form of Karma. Do good, get reincarnated better. Do
   bad, get reincarnated worse. Why does life suck? Previous life.
   It's a narrative that works for a lot of ppl. As with you, I
   don't generally have a problem with it. Not my thing, but
   whatevs.
