I have to avoid arxiv. I see a link, I scan everything there
   _very very_ quickly to come up with "something to say about it"
   and then close it. If I allow myself to linger more than enough
   time to read whatever's available.. I don't come up for air for
   days and there's 75 tabs on physics, math and computer science
   from various places on the 'net and I have to ask, "How did I
   get here again?"
