Science fans who do not apply the scientific method to themselves but instead take anything that has the 'taint' or whiff of Science at full acceptance - ie - blind faith. That's the danger of scientism. == Even within non-pseudo science (the line is a very tricky one to draw in some cases) - the same rigor has to be applied. Carrying the cheerleader pom-poms for Science and "boo-hiss" everybody else is fine - but when it comes down to it, one has to apply skepticism and rigor to whatever one accepts as fact - and even MORESO careful in areas that one already has a tendency to believe. Statistics are a great example. Another is studies with small sample sets. etc.
