If I had to redefine Science in a more general way, I would say
   (and I welcome correction/disapproval): "Science is analogies
   standing on the shoulders of giant analogies". [Analogies are
   extraordinarily powerful when done right. Just look how powerful
   mathematics: and it's probably the most agnostic analogy we
   have, although it too has its limitations as well as parts where
   the analogies can go further than is reasonable]
