Oddly enough, Aerosmith was at ... oh I forgot the name of it.. Ah! Red Roof Inn back in 1991. I was at a "PC-Link" convention. The precursor to AOL. A few hundred people from the chat rooms all came to one place - a Red Roof Inn in Pennsylvania. Whole weekend. Had lots of fun. Met lots of people from online. Many surprises but mostly what you'd expect: geeks and nerds of all ages, sizes and shapes, even a few gender surprises. Silly string all over. Wrecked the place. Asked never to come back. Allenbash - that's right - Allentown, PA. Anyway, Aerosmith was on the other side. Saw them once. It was like, "Oh cool, Aerosmith" :: starts spraying silly string on someone's head ::: == They are fun, it's true. It's like, 'Oh saw that person on TV/movie - neat". Let's see: 1987. NYC to see a play (don't remember what atm) for school. Small school. Not much impact on audience. Intermission. Go outside. See street performers. Black kids drumming on 5 gallon buckets, breakdancing, beatboxing - really amazing stuff they were doing. Top notch. Better than the play. Suddenly I feel a presence next to me. I look to my left. I see a small ugly black woman with two tall white guys behind her. Whoopie Goldberg. I smiled to myself, and looked back at the performers on the street and went back inside when it was time. I didn't tell anybody 'til afterwards. Didn't bother her. Even at 14, I knew she's just there to see a play like me. Still cool though. ==
