Yeah - I find myself telling an idealist to "be reasonable" when
   I should be encouraging them. Somebody called me on that
   yesterday. After a little back and forth where a launched a
   speech on "get with the real world here", he reminded me: "You
   need to be more radical" I was like, "woah, he's right". I fell
   into the trap of nearly losing my idealism about something that
   matters to me.
