That was beautifully written. Poetic. It brings a religious quality to nothing, It's probably what keeps me agnostic and why I cant go to the polarities. I've seen similarly beautiful writings about nothing, about randomness, about God, about consciousness, about mathematics, about logic... and they've become members of a set to me. I can appreciate the beauty of what you said with different nouns that are in the set for what they represent, which is that "something else". quality. I think the word in my mental set that I would replace 'nothing' with* would be uncertainty or potential or maybe possibilities - but nothing works as well. In any case, I like what you wrote there. My favorite word for it though is, "the gap". Nothing mystical about the gap to me but I find gaps fascinating wherever I go. Always something interesting in gaps. People put caulking in gaps to seal them up. Yet an open gap in the skin reveals a wound - exposes what's underneath it. A gap inbetween a wall and a floor that's outside, eventually a plant finds its way in, and life grows in the gap. I'm just fascinated by gaps and how humans (including myself) do strange things like try to seal up gaps.
