   Agile/Scrum has some tremendous benefits but to me its
   rapid-prototyping under another name and it's as if they threw
   out the Senior Engineer who is ultimately responsible for making
   sure it has real-world viability. Love the case study. I
   sometimes get criticized by people when I say that I prefer
   Engineering over Science. But this is precisely why I prefer
   Engineering and, in fact, why I respect the hell out of
   Industry: Its one thing to make a fork balance on a toothpick at
   the edge of a glass, and quite another to make 200,000 cheap
   plastic toys for kids that won't kill them and work repeatedly
   that perform the same function.
