The rest of the symbolism is only vaguely familiar - the three pillars are distinct yet equally supporting, yet neither the three distinct pillars nor the ladder of divine ascent have any visible upper purpose: The engineered block across from the roughly hewn block with the presumably empty or spilled bottle and the sword is also quite powerful. I never studied masonic symbolism although I know it is very rich and is very meaningful for those who ascribe to its ways, much as the Eastern Orthodox symbolism within its iconography was very powerful and meaningful to me during my time with them. Once you can read a particular symbolism properly, it is a very rich source that goes deeper than what at first appears, and as somebody who was never much "into art", in my time with them, I grew to appreciate the depth an understanding can have when one had adopted a tradition for their own.
