I like your outlook. I think we share a systems-view of things yet not the impersonal systems-view of post-modernism but the very personal, very human systems view of people doing the best they can with the little knowledge and power they have - with far more grandstanding in the world than actual power. == I've removed MOST of my conflict-theory biases out of me over the years, with a few exceptions that stick to me like molasses. Hot topics - things I can rant about for pages and pages and pages. For me, it's the education system and what it does to kids and creativity. I've carried that with me since I *was* a kid and promised I'd never forget and I never did. So, I hold a candle for that topic and I can EASILY go all confict-theory on it. But thankfully, for most other topics, I can take a more human-centric view and even when speaking of education, all someone has to say to me is, "They're doing the best they can" and it cuts me short. ==
