It happened on my birthday. January 28th. I was 14 years old. We had a day off of school. Sat in my basement, watching it live because I was into space stuff. We had a day off of school. *boom* I was riveted to the whole thing; I don't remember much else about my 14th birthday. The jokes came out the very next morning. I remember thinking to myself, "HOW did the jokes start _so quickly_?" - and this was pre-Internet. Still amazes me. Space Shuttle Challenger exploded 30 years ago over Florida with teacher on board via http://ift.tt/1nnZR9l First one I remember was "What was Christa McAuliffe's eyes?" "Blue: One blew right, one blew left". I heard that Jan 29, 1986 before 9am during homeroom in Mrs Zeglarski's 8th grade glass. That when I was surprised at how fast jokes happen.
