Science is also my field. Moreso than philosophy but I'm a
   generalist more than a specialist.   Rather I'm speaking of
   experts offering opinions about fields that have other experts
   and being dismissive of them.  This is not limited to science.
   When a politician has something to say about politics, they are
   in their field. However, when a politician has something to say
   about science, they are out of their field. Having changed the
   context, does that make my point make more sense or less to you?
