My mother has good intuition, although sometimes I have to
   question it as she can get caught up in a downward spiral of
   rationalizing based upon a negative past experience that clouds
   her judgement. But generally, hers is very sharp, borne of hard
   won experience. I keep training mine - lifelong training. I call
   it "bullshit spotting" because that's what my aim is.
