lol! Well, in my church-hopping days way back when, and visiting
   a monastery for a few weeks, talking to some monks (both online
   and offline - this was back in '95-97 - somewhere around there),
   I realized two things out of all of it: 1) I can easily live
   that life and 2) it is my backup retirement/homeless plan in
   case everything I worked on goes "ka-fooey" - I can always find
   a monastery to settle down in. i can keep studying
   science/language/etc and I have no problem praying for folks. i
   like singing and there was lots of it. "
