   we're taught rather a chauvenistic way of looking at the world -
   that modern society is the pinnacle of human intellience. But
   intelligence is intelligence -- if you're human, you've got a
   big brain. A 6 year old can remember the names of 300 cartoon
   characters/video game characters and all of their traits and
   personalities - that sam...e 6 year old kid 10,000 years ago
   might know the names of 300 plants and animals and bugs and gods
   and demons. Same intelligence, different environment. People
   weren't stupider - the technologies were different, the
   worldviews / philosophies were different but the intelligence
   was all 100% there, no matter what the era. "
