   Do you know why there are 7 days in a week? Moon cycle divided
   into four parts.

   How did we get the names of the days of the week? Ancient
   Babylonians named them after planets (predates Christianity).

   Names of the days of the week:

   (sunday) SUN,
   (monday) MOON,
   (tuesday, Tiw in Saxon) MARS,
   (wednesday, Woden in Saxon) MERCURY,
   (thursday, Thor in Saxon) JUPITER,
   (friday, Frigg in Saxon) VENUS,
   (saturday) SATURN

   and we've kept it for all these years. Amazing. No reason to
   change it I guess. They also came up with "24 hours in a day",
   in 2 12 hour parts), but they had complex 5000 year old
   calculations to get it right every time. Ancient people? Smarter
