There's also the idea that I will use next time I embark on this
   kind of quest - learn just the infinitive form of the major
   verbs and screw the subtlties. They'll forgive you for being a
   foreigner and try to understand you, just like we do, if they're
   nice. But you'll never pass for fluent so forget trying. Ken's
