even in poverty countries, there's signs of progress. Deaths of
   infants has gone down worldwide in EVERY country dramatically
   since 1972. There's an amazing graphic showing that I could
   find. That's the majority reason why populations have grown so
   much. Our average death-times have changed but not THAT
   dramatically. In the USA, making $34,000/yr puts a person in the
   top 1% of the world. I still love that little statistic; puts
   things into a good perspective. ==
