^Uniformitarianism - my new word of the day. What is old is new
   again. Or, for a cynic, what is new is already old hat. It's a
   geological approach to the history of the planet, that "the
   present is the key to the past," - You can understand all the
   yesterdays and tomorrows by understanding the Now. Good outlook
   for rocks and I think it makes a good philosophical/religious
   viewpoint.^
